The General Settings tab allows you to configure the core behavior and global appearance of your portfolio. These settings affect how portfolio items are displayed on single pages and archive layouts.

Below is a detailed explanation of each available option in this section.

1. Portfolio Title

Enable or disable the portfolio item title on the single portfolio page.

 

  • Enabled: Displays the project title inside the single portfolio layout.
  • Disabled: Hides the portfolio title (does not affect the page title if managed separately).

Note: This setting controls only the portfolio item title, not the global page title section.

2. Portfolio Slug

Define the custom slug used when registering the Portfolio custom post type.

 

  • Default Value: portfolio
  • Example URL: https://yourwebsite.com/portfolio/project-name

Changing the slug allows you to customize your portfolio URLs to better match your brand or content structure.

3. Portfolio Meta Items

Control which meta information appears on single portfolio pages. This option uses a drag-and-drop interface.
How It Works
  • Drag items from the Disabled section into the Enabled section to display them.
  • Reorder enabled items to control their display order.

4. Portfolio Skin Color

Choose a global skin color for the portfolio.

 

  • This color is applied to portfolio elements such as buttons, links, highlights, and interactive components.
  • Default Color: #4d44bf

Selecting a consistent skin color helps maintain branding across all portfolio layouts.

5. Portfolio Ajax Pagination

Enable or disable AJAX-based pagination for portfolio listing pages.

 

  • Enabled: Portfolio items load dynamically without refreshing the page.
  • Disabled: Standard pagination with full page reload.
