The Layout Settings tab allows you to control the structure and appearance of your portfolio grid and single portfolio layout. These options define how portfolio items are arranged, spaced, and displayed on archive pages.

You can configure the grid behavior, number of columns, spacing between items, and sidebar layout for single portfolio pages.

1. Grid Type

Choose the layout system used to display portfolio items.

  • Normal Grid: Displays items in a standard fixed grid layout.
  • Isotope Grid: Uses a dynamic masonry-style layout with filtering and smooth transitions.

Default: Isotope Grid

2. Grid Columns

Select the number of columns used in the portfolio grid layout.
  • 4 Columns
  • 3 Columns
  • 2 Columns
Default: 2 Columns

3. Portfolio Grid Gutter

Define the spacing between grid items (in pixels).
  • Example: Enter 20 for 20px spacing.
  • Applies only when Isotope Grid is selected.

Increasing the gutter creates more space between items, while smaller values create a tighter layout.

4. Portfolio Sidebar

Select the sidebar layout for single portfolio pages.
  • Choose from available widget areas.
  • Select None for a full-width layout.
Using a sidebar allows you to display additional widgets such as recent projects, contact forms, or promotional content.
Recommended Setup:

  • Use Isotope Grid for dynamic filtering and smooth animations.
  • Select 3 or 4 columns for image-focused portfolios.
  • Keep gutter spacing between 15–30px for balanced visual spacing.
  • Use a sidebar only when additional contextual content is necessary.
